We do not supply the chimney unit itself, and we do not carry out civil work such as cutting through a load-bearing wall, new electrical wiring circuits or false ceiling modification. If your kitchen needs any of that before the unit can be fitted properly, the technician will tell you at the site visit rather than force an installation that will not vent properly.

There is a range recommended by each manufacturer for its own model, and it is printed in the unit's manual. Too high and the suction weakens; too low and it gets in the way of cooking. The technician works to the manufacturer's recommendation for your model, adjusted for the height of your hob and counter.

It depends entirely on the layout, and it needs to be seen. Where ducting to the outside is not possible, a ductless (recirculating) arrangement using carbon filters is the usual alternative, but it behaves differently from a ducted unit and the filters need periodic replacement. The technician will explain the trade-off for your kitchen instead of promising that either option is equally good.
